Nope, even without the object nullifying, the COSStream objects which your
PDPage object relies on would still be unreadable, because it shares an
underlying InputStream with the COSDocument, which has been closed. The
nullifying, is a problem which was solved in the trunk in PDFBOX-2592 but it's
not the cause of your problem in this instance.
