I've got the following results on fedora 21, all 64bit, using the latest 2.0.0
SNAPSHOT (1030):
1.6.0_37-b06 : core dump
1.7.0_45-b18 : core dump
1.7.0_75-b13 : core dump
1.8.0_31-b13 : works like a charm
