Technically this method isn't needed for valid Type3 fonts. The Widths must
always be provided in the Font dictionary. I presume you're dealing with a PDF
which contains a "bad" font? As you say, d0 or d1 gives the width.
PDType3CharProc would be a good place to add such code.
Before making any changes we need to verify that Acrobat uses the d0, d1 values
as widths. I'd expect a Type 3 font with no Widths dictionary to render
incorrectly in PDFBox if that is the case.
