Maruan Sahyoun commented on PDFBOX-3040:
----------------------------------------

well - Jekyll already works and all the changes done lately are done on the
jekyll-migration branch and published directly. So we can switch over any time!

Could maybe adjust the viewport for a

Of course that's doable but I'd rather have a more responsive approach as the
sidebar navigation takes a lot of screen on a mobile and is barely readable
when we default to showing the entire page.

We use the same website format as Hadoop, Commons, FOP, etc. It works. It's
what people expect.

There are also many sample for a different approach :-)

IMHO the main benefit of having only 3 main topics is simplicity.

> As discussed on the dev mailing list the PDFBox website will be migrated to a
> local build:
> - to have an easier support for a new/blog section
> - an actively developed toolchain to build the site
> The site builder will be based on jekyll with some additional scripting/maven
> to automate the develop/build/test/publishing steps.
> There are some projects we can learn from such as Apache Wicket, JClouds.
> The initial development will be done in a branch to the current svn
> repository.
