If you "have enough fonts on your own PC anyway" - you won't care about font
embedding PDF/A in the first place.

Recent experience in a government context unfortunately shows that your 2nd
statement is frighteningly wrong...

> PDType1Font.java has a predefined list of fonts like Times-Roman, Helvetica,
> Courier, Symbol and ZapfDingbats.
> When creating a pdf/A, the font is embedded and not taken from the reader's
> operating system.
> As per https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helvetica_(Schriftart) , this may lead
> to a licensing issue.
> Suggestions:
> 1) Use a free font such as
> https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nimbus_Sans_L instead
> 2) at least warn in JavaDoc about the issue
> Or is it an non-issue?
