Maruan Sahyoun commented on PDFBOX-4190:
----------------------------------------
I'd prefer to not add options such as this one to the current version of
PDFMergerUtility as it will add to the API for a small feature where there is a
way to set it as [~tilman] pointed out.
Instead I propose that we add something like {{MergeOptions}} which can be set
on a global basis and per document which allows one to specify which elements
of the PDF need to be merged. E.g. currently we do merge the document
information from the various documents but also allow to set it during the
merge via {{setDestinationDocumentInformation}}. But what about XMP Metadata
.... - so this is not very consistent. Shall we always add all annotations,
bookmarks ...
> Allow caller to control openAction on merged documents

> It would be great if openAction behavior was configurable. When documents are
> merged, we are required to open on the first page.
