This looks very good, thank you. Now all needed is {{constructAppearances()}}
in the base annotation class and then the appropriate implementation in the
actual classes, and a call in PageDrawer. I tried this locally as a test for
square and circle and it was much easier than I expected: the only changes I
had to make were about not using jdk7, and using the square/circle combined
class.
