If we look at the parent class javafx.scene.image.Image there is a constructor
Image(InputStream is) beside of the constructor Image(String url).
The class java.io.InputStream has a method read(byte[] b) to work with a byte
array.
This is possible too:

int writableImageBufferSize = (width * height) * bandCount;
byte[] writableImageBuffer = new byte[writableImageBufferSize];
InputStream is = new InputStream();
is.read(writableImageBuffer);
Image image = new Image(is);
