The latest screenshot reinforces my belief that the differences array is
ignored.
It turns out that PDFDebugger didn't show the encoding name correctly, it just
showed the java class. I've also added a log output to confirm that identity is
used. I suspect that Adobe uses the encoding entry for the decoding.
(memo for me: 000904-p25-Annotation-Invisible-Link.pdf has such an encoding)
