The PDF specification mentions that older viewers can ignore the NChannel:
"Conforming readers that do not support PDF 1.6 shall treat these colour spaces
as normal DeviceN colour spaces and shall use the tint transformation function
as appropriate." So I tried to do this, and here's the result
