Unfortunately, that what is visible seems to be the issue, which caused the
black lines in the other PDFs.
I don't think this is a good PDF. To me it seems even in Acrobat to be more a
rendering issue than the intended result. If I remove setting the alpha value,
it looks like that should have been diagonal lines like the other "oil" areas.
