[~tilman] I think there are various issues with how we handle adaptive
templates which IMHO we mostly don't handle at all. That's from looking at
{{GenericRefinementRegion.updateOverride()}}. If that's the wrong location you
might point me to a better one as you've already spent more time looking at the
current code.
