The Project Management Committee (PMC) for Apache Pekko has invited Arnout Engelen to become a committer and we are pleased to announce that they have accepted.
Arnout has been a historical core committer of Akka and has continued the ongoing contribution to the Apache Pekko fork. He has provided insightful feedback when it comes to topics of security as well as providing insightful feedback/context to the more idiosyncratic parts of Pekko (such as the build system). Being a committer enables easier contribution to the project since there is no need to go via the patch submission process. This should enable better productivity.
