This release is delayed by us waiting on the ASF Infra team to set up
a signing key for us and svn access.
I was going to suggest at some point this week that maybe we should
just press on and release using the standard manual release process
that we've used up until now and try automating again when we've made
progress on the Infra side.
For me, the 2.0.0-M1 is about getting libs out that preview what we've
already done. I expect that we'll have 2.0.0-M2 and possibly M3.
I would prefer not to delay the M1 release for in progress items. If
this work gets done before we manage to start the RC process then we
can fit them in of course.
Having an M1 release would unblock work in the downstream Pekko modules.
