I think this worked -- at least mod_perl loads now w/out errors, however,
the server starts and immediately dies:
$ ./httpd -X -e debug
[Thu Aug 29 09:52:26 2002] [debug] mod_so.c(290): loaded module
php4_module [Thu Aug 29 09:52:26 2002] [debug] mod_so.c(290): loaded
module perl_module Segmentation fault
