blead yes, I didn't suggest not to support blead, I meant to suggest not to support particular blead releases but just the head ;)
I think that's the way to go - we should unofficially support (as best we can) the current rsync version of bleedperl, just so it keeps us on top of what the next major release will do.
as far as official support, I think the part line should be we officially support even-numbered perl versions.
