I wonder why modules/cgi.t wasn't failing for you. I haven't tried to run the patch, assuming that it worked for you ;)

once we get the other issue sorted out, I'll specifically add a test for
GATEWAY_INTERFACE someplace.


I think it's there already just fine, all you need is this patch:

OK, per our irc discussion we resolve this thread by dropping GATEWAY_INTERFACE on the floor, as it's totally unnecessary.
