May be someone should ask again what's the status of things. I haven't been pushing for those changes for quite some time now.

Well, I've just noticed that perl-current does have a top level META.yml now, and it does make use of the 'private' key. So, I guess
it might be possible to assume that if perl does it, it's all good ;-)

But go ahead and commit your original patch, so it's not going to be wasted and we can adjust it later.

It's been taken care in it's current form.
