No, no, it segfaults in register_hooks even when doing: httpd -l, so you can't even start building mod_perl. mod_perl has nothing to do with it.
? If so, my APR__Pool.h patch will fix this. I'd like to commit it now, since Philippe already +1'd it, but I'll hold off if you say so.
Looking at the most recent post on the topic from Sep 30th, you were still discussing some nuances, like MP_APR_POOL_SV_DROPS_OWNERSHIP, and I was expecting to see the final patch, before reviewing it. Mind to post the latest version (sorry if you did already and I've missed it).
