James Taylor commented on PHOENIX-1536:
---------------------------------------

bq. Are you arguing that local indexing in Phoenix is not substantially similar
to HBASE-9203?
I'm saying that local indexing is already released in Phoenix (since 4.0) and
as such the Apache Phoenix project has an obligation to maintain it. I'm not
saying anything about HBase nor am I advocating for any particular solution
there nor am I trying to paint HBase into any kind of corner. I think we can
work all that out.

> Make use of SplitTransaction to split local index region from 0.98.9 onwards

> Currently we are using IndexSpilitTransaction which is duplicate of
> SplitTransaction with minor changes. From 0.98.9 onwards we can use the
> SplitTransaction itself.
