Nick Dimiduk commented on PHOENIX-971:
--------------------------------------

Thanks [~devaraj], I'll include these changes in my next patch (hopefully later
today).

[~jamestaylor], [~gabriel.reid] I'd like to implement {{queryserver.py}} as a
daemon control script. There's a [nice
library|https://pypi.python.org/pypi/python-daemon/] out there for doing this,
but it's not commonly shipped in the default distribution. How would I
pull/include this package in our {{bin}} directory?

> Host the JDBC driver in a query server process that can be deployed as a
> middle tier between lighter weight clients and Phoenix+HBase. This would
> serve a similar optional role in Phoenix deployments as the
> [HiveServer2|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/Hive/Setting+Up+HiveServer2]
> does in Hive deploys.
