Here an updated patch [~ram_krish],
1. Unified code for writing nulls.
2. Variables renamed.
3. Messages added for exceptions.
This is not extended from ArrayModifierFunction as checks in the constructor
are different from arrayModiferFunction. other checking codes are also
different.
