On behalf of the Apache Phoenix PMC, I'm pleased to announce that Josh Elser has accepted our invitation to become a committer on the Apache Phoenix project. He's done an excellent job moving the Phoenix Query Server[1] forward, helping us with maven issues, and being an all around good citizen by answering questions whenever they come up on the mailing lists and JIRAs.
