Thanks [~tdsilva]. Here's the patch. Let's see if we get a clean run with this
in place. Not sure why the 0.98 branch failed the new unit tests (any insight
yet, [~singamteja]?). We'll need to figure it out today or I think we should
revert this entire feature as it's causing more trouble that it's worth (and
shouldn't hold up the RC IMHO).
