Dear Phoenix Developers,

My name is *Surafel Temesgen*, and I’d like to introduce a project I’ve
been building called *Debo*—an open-source, lightweight infrastructure
management tool aimed at simplifying operations across the Hadoop
ecosystem, including *Apache Phoenix*.
------------------------------
💡 What is Debo?

*Debo* is a desktop-based management application (written in C) that
provides a unified control and monitoring interface for a wide range of big
data components, such as:

   -

   *Phoenix*, *HBase*, *HDFS*, *YARN*, *Hive*
   -

   *Kafka*, *Flink*, *Spark*, *Tez*, *Zookeeper*
   -

As well as Ranger, Atlas, Pig, Presto, Hue, Oozie, Livy, and others

It enables administrators and engineers to monitor component health,
perform basic control operations, and get high-level visibility from a
single pane of glass.
------------------------------
🚀 Incubation Proposal & Feedback Request

I’ve shared Debo with the Apache Incubator community and am currently
seeking *3 PMC sponsors* to move the proposal forward. You can follow and
join the discussion here:

Though still pre-incubation, I plan to release a *beta version within the
next few weeks*, with support for Apache Phoenix and enhanced documentation.
------------------------------
🙏 Feedback from the Phoenix Community

If you’re using or contributing to Phoenix, I’d greatly appreciate your
feedback on:

   -

What types of Phoenix operations or metrics would be most useful to
   expose
   -

Suggestions for useful UI actions or control features
   -

Any Phoenix-specific considerations for integration with Debo

------------------------------
📺 Learn More

To help users and contributors get started, I’ve launched a YouTube channel
where I’ll post walkthroughs and tutorials:

------------------------------
🔧 What’s Coming

   -

Updated README.md with clear setup and usage instructions
   -

Step-by-step video guides including Phoenix configuration
   -

Beta release with UI support for Phoenix alongside related components
   like HBase

------------------------------

Thank you for your time and consideration. I’d be very grateful for any
thoughts, questions, or feedback from the Phoenix community!

Warm regards,
*Surafel Temesgen*
