This has been fixed. The second objection was around the LICENSE and NOTICE for the binary distribution. I've been asking and asking (see this thread [1]), but still no answer. It's kind of frustrating when you proactively ask and get no answer, but then 3-6 days later when the release vote is started, they jump in and point out flaws.
