it's a positional mapping, right? Is the AS (a:chararray, b:chararray, c: long, 
d:int) optional? Does Pig restrict the names of the elements in a relation? If 
the AS (a:chararray, b:chararray, c: long, d:int) is optional, then we can 
fallback to the alias names used in the SELECT expressions, and if no alias, 
then the name is the text of the expression. For example:

A = load 'hbase://query/SELECT ID,UPPER(NAME),NEXT VALUE FOR my_seq,MY_NUM+1 
FROM HIRES WHERE AGE > 50' using 
org.apache.phoenix.pig.PhoenixHBaseLoader('localhost');

The relation would be "ID", "UPPER(NAME)","NEXT VALUE FOR my_seq","MY_NUM+1". 
Would this confuse Pig? Can you also refer to the elements of a relation by 
position like you can in JDBC: resultSet.getInt(4)?
