In current implementation the reporter function
ProgressableReporter.progress(String msg) is an empty function.
If I have a long running UDF and I want update the status using a message, the
preferred way is to use this api.
The previous implementation of ProgressableReporter used
org.apache.hadoop.mapred.Reporter api directly.
But the currently used org.apache.hadoop.util.Progressable interface does not
have api to set status as a given message.
Hence I believe the empty method.
