Does the PPNL need to be an interface? This jira shows how annoying/fragile it
is to have an interface which a number of non-Pig projects depend on and that
will likely be modified/extended in the future.
It seems like a base class that would extend the existing PPNL interface and
then provide no-op implementations for all methods would be easier to work with
and extend in the future.
