@chxing: Hi. Guys I have one realtime with 3 replicate segmengs and 6 server nodes, When I kill one server node the status will like below, What I need to do to reblance those segments to 3 replicasPerPartition, Assuming that server node broken forever
@fx19880617:
@chxing: When I run reblance, the killed server still in using
@chxing: And segments status is bad
@chxing:
@npawar: Did you untag the server first? That doc shared by Xiang should have the step to untag
@chxing: Thx @npawar succeeded to rebalance segments after untag broken service node, thx

@pabraham.usa: Hello, what happens if one of the pinot server disk with 25% of the segments fails and I restore the data from 1 day old backup that holds 20% of segments? Will the segments from the backup disk is honored or everything has to begin from scratch?
@jackie.jxt: The old segments will be picked up, and the remaining ones will be downloaded from the deep store
@pabraham.usa: @jackie.jxt I don’t have any deep store configured. However I can see other all segments are getting populated in controller data folder which is a NFS. I am using realtime table.
@jackie.jxt: Yeah, then controller serves as the deep store, where servers can download segments from

@khushbu.agarwal: Hi, I assume the answer will be no, as pinot checks for number of rows in each segment replica. But does pinot support time based commit of a segment?
@g.kishore: Yes
@khushbu.agarwal: Yes it doesn't support.?
@mayanks: Pinot does support time based as well as number of rows based thresholds for segment flushing.
@khushbu.agarwal: Okay.
@g.kishore:
@g.kishore: this talks about all the different options
