Once you build the site, you check-in the changes to the "deploy" folder (make sure to inspect the diff in that folder to make sure you didn't accidentally introduce any unwanted changes!). The real site is an SVN checkout of the deploy folder on people.apache.org, so you just run 'svn up' in that folder to update the site.
