Changing the link should be fine, but I have no idea about updating the site and what Apache karma is required. I think the site has been Todd's thing for a while, but others may know more.
It would be good to update the news section at the same time to say that the 2.0.1 release is being prepared. I'll have a quick look to see if there is anything else that needs to be updated, either right now or for the 2.0.1 release.
