yogamurugan commented on PIVOT-853:
-----------------------------------
My focus is to create a alternative for Oracle Forms in Apache Licence . I am
an ex employee of Oracle Corporation worked in EBusiness Suite of Applications
and Fusion . What i know about Oracle Forms and Oracle Application Framework is
using BC4J (Business Components for Java) oracle created an implementation of
JSR227 and Binding for Oracle forms . Same Object Relation Mapping for a JNLP
programs as well as HTML application . A very rigid application stack that
powers Enterprise Applications . I exactly were to hit (ie) .
Postgres -- Oracle
Apache Cayenne -- BC4J (This comes with RMI invocation )
Object Passivation (Serialization) and Object Retrieval (Deserialization) for
scalability and RMI . I am taking this as an effort
JSF implementation that contains JSR227 -- Replaces UIX binding for Oracle
Application Framwork . This is another effort
BXML renderer and websocket brokered request and view update in JSF that
replaces tradition ajax with more standard ui coding where intead of full
submit partial submit happens with view and still Session Beans in Model layer
gets updated by less amount of submit. -- This replaces Oracle Forms . As per
GNU a replacement of Oracle Forms is still a pending task but this is the
method we can achieve it.

> Will there be integration of pivot in jsf . JSF is not meant only for html
> rendering . Why don't we use it for generating BXML and handling events and
> flow . We need a full integration of Cayenne , Pivot , myfaces and trinidad.
> So that it becomes a unified development method for enterprise applications
