I'm not sure if you are talking about the source version or the machine code version (or whatever that is called). I would object to put that to 8. Putting that to 17 should be fine for now if you need that, but I don't want to have that burden on 8 again for no reason at the moment. If the need for 8 comes up we could look at it.
