We're at 10000 commits and develop is now on 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT

Hi all,

I just wanted to take the opportunity to announce that we have just reached the 
10000 commits and as discussed here we took the opportunity to switch to 
version 1.0.0-SNAPSHOT.

This means the upcoming release will be the big 1.0.0 😊

Let’s celebrate this and spread the news 😊
