Hi,
this is a space-time tradeoff and I would like to suggest to make a test by
how much the performance is degraded by this before committing. The sheet
data will be zipped on creation and then unzipped before injection and then
zipped again in the final document. I go along with the argument that people
don't have gigabytes of heap space but that the temp file system is too
small to hold the data, is in my eyes a specific request and shouldn't be
treated as the general case. Unless the tests show that the performance
penalty is negligible I propose to make the compression optional.
Regards,
Alex
