At the moment there isn't , or maybe I haven't found, a way to properly handle
merged cells in Word Tables. One cannot identify if a cell is merged or not let
alone in what way. This creates a problem when trying to obtain data from
merged cells or when it comes to creating new tables.
Is there an existing workaround or is it something that needs to be worked on?
I tried to use the size of the cells as well but with no success.
