I think I can contribute here - I've a good history of using Maven, XmlBeans
and ant, and have a partial build of XMLBeans 3.1 on Maven now - would you be
interested in a patch.
Note that the current build is _not_ correct/complete - I haven't moved any of
the test cases in, but it's pretty much there. It also builds the
xmlbeans-maven-plugin and I can fix XMLBEANS-544 too
