--- Comment #5 from Tim Heger <[email protected]> --- (In reply to PJ Fanning from comment #1) > What is the origin of the broken xlsx - that is what application or library > produced it? We are a leading company in the field of data standardization for insurance companies. These companies have a variety of different file types, which we receive for analysis and normalization of the data. Our customers systems sometimes differ greatly from one another. Currently we do not know why we receive such files from our customers, and we are already in contact with them to resolve this issue on their end. However, we also need to address this issue on our end and have found this bug in the Apache POI library.(In reply to PJ Fanning from comment #4) > Surely you know which customer sent you the broken file. Is there PII in the > file because that will get us in trouble? If there is no PII in the file, > can't you ask the customer to find out what application is producing invalid > files. I attached a file where we reproduced the error ourself. The file has no customer data in it and is safe to validate. We are currently trying to reach the IT department of the customer but since they are a large company, explaining the error could take a while. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
