I've begun working on a 100% python backend for the UI in Foal.
While it is FAR from complete (it doesn't handle private emails yet, nor
composing or sessions), it does have basic functionality like displaying
stats, lists, threads, individual emails and so on for either fully
public lists, or for private if you put some basic auth in front of it.
I'll get a test version of this up and running on a demo box.
It should work fine with the new web ui.
I've been talking off-list with some folks interested in perhaps doing a
different approach to the UI, so we may end up with two or more
interfaces for archives in the end.
