I was recently made aware of this potentiality, but I think this is both allowed and not actually an issue any longer, as per https://github.com/psf/requests/issues/3389#issuecomment-396642172 wherein the author both states that chardet is no longer bundled with requests and that the previous use falls under library use which does not require relicensing of the software. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
