Andrei Savu commented on PROVISIONR-6:
--------------------------------------
I've spent a bit more time investigating this. It's not that easy to deploy the
Rundeck .war file. I think we should consider this as a nice to have feature
and start by focusing on building a way to link a Provisionr instance to a
Rundeck instance running on the same machine (e.g. a shell command rundeck:link
or rundeck:connect).
The objective is to automatically create a project that fetches the list of
machines from the custom resource model and also find a way to deploy workflows
defined as simple sequences of bash scripts.
> Bundle Rundeck as part of the binary distribution

> Provisionr and Rundeck are complementary projects and we should find a way to
> bundle them together as part of the binary distribution.
> Provisionr can already expose an endpoint that generates an .xml file that
> can be loaded by Rundeck as a Node Resource Source [1]
> A follow-up task would be to use the Rundeck API to create a default project
> and also to setup a catalog of workflows for common tasks.
