Could someone please answer the following questions for me?
1. Is there a direct relation between QA and TCM? Or, when smoke test pass, and errors are found during TCM process, will it stop a release?

The purpose of TCM is to test the localizations quality. So ... in general it is/was not set up for release testing. But it holds a large set of test cases, that are similar to the smoke tests .. and therefore can also be used for release QA. (Italian team is using TCM for OOo 2.0 release testing, afaik, germanophone team is using parts of the TCM tests for release testing .. other teams use smoketests).

There is no rule, that specific test case that have not been passed, would stop a release. (If we did so, we would *never* release anything :-( ) It depends, how serious the bug is, if it is "just" a localization issue for one localization, how many users would be affected ... If you think, an issue is important enough to stop a release, pleas rais it here at the list oder at [EMAIL PROTECTED]

2. Is TCM only about GUI and Help translation?

No, it's about localization .. ant that's quite more than translation ;-) It has also test cases for printing, saving files .. navigating in documents and so on.

3. Is there a place I can find more info about the whole QA process in relation to the TCM process?
You may find some information at the l10n page:
http://l10n.openoffice.org/localization/L10n_pilotprocess.html#4._Localization_Testing

Maybe some native lang teams have gathered more information (maybe french). All I can say for the moment is, that we need better integration of QA and l10n (TCM) process. Hope, we can work on this after 2.0 releaase.

André
