I have no idea, since the soffice-script runs soffice.bin

Try to run the commands inside the soffice-script by hand. Maybe you can
catch the error.

You may also try to remove /usr/lib from the list of paths that are
checked for a mozilla installation (the match will be added to OOo's
LIBPATH
