besides the question I just sent you off list, my on-list comment would be:
How can Sun give approval if they do not support all computing
platforms? Specifically, what about the Mac port?
We can give the approval for the tested platforms and languages only.
Mac port isn't part of the tested platforms by Sun. So we cannot find
the problems on Mac port and cannot guarantee for the quality of the builds.
Additionally we can give the approval only for the Sun built install
sets. Because they are built in the same build environment and the same
code base.
Sorry, but my team cannot help the Mac team.
