Depends on what you actually do (and how many time you have).
As I said, I will be able to dedicate at least one hour, most often
two, on a daily basis, and more on weekends.
There is a set of manual tests grouped by scenarios in TCM.
To go through the release-sanity scenario would take 3 to 4 hrs (if you
do it the first time and have to look how to do the tests).
May be more, if bugs are found and need to be analysed.
The idea of being Manager is indeed not to do the tests but let other do
it for you ;-)
But the real work is to find testers , assign the tests, review results
and decide if the build is ready to release.
Sophie told me she would give me a hand with this. She's far more
experienced, and I believe her help will be unvaluable.
You may start by doing the tests. Some native lang teams will do TCM
tests on mac. So you would be able to review results of other testers.
I'll carry out the automated tests for NL-fr / Tiger PPC. We already
have 2 volunteers for manual tests (for Tiger PPC and Panther). Which
will be the other NL teams that will carry out tests on Mac?
Last not least two more points:
- pleas tell me your account name at OOo (website login) or TCM account
(if this already exists) so I can grant the manager role.
i have not TCM login, since I only did automated tests so far. My OOo
login is sixel.
- If you are at the OOoCon, please join the QA meeting .. we can have a
short TCM walkthrough (I'd expect the Mac builds not being ready before
end of the week, so no need to hurry).
Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the con :(
Well, let's hope all will run smoothly. I must admit I'm a bit scared
of the new responsability, but I'll do my best!
