Hello Ambrogio,
it doesn't make sense to confirm an enhancement request and to set it to
NEW as long as you don't know who will implement this new feature. If
you like to stress your interest then you can vote for an issue to raise
attention for it. For 'defect' issues it makes sense to confirm the issues.

I was talking with some people in italian ML about enhancement request.
We would like to know what is meaning the confirm of this issues?
For example if one open an issue asking for a font effect that is not
implemented yet, can I confirm the issue?
And what appens if I confirm the request as new?
