Is there an attachment to this issue with an animation? I would like to check
this under both Mac OS X releases.

James,
Yes, there is an attachment : a presentation from the LinuxTag meeting
in Essen. The animations referred to are slide transitions and text
animations.
You can also test with the presentation available for TCM, since this is
where I first noticed an identical problem when testing rc1 for Mac OSX
PPC. Not only were the transitions incredibly slow, with the hourglass
showing on screen between transitions, but I had to endlessly click to
get the next animation to appear.
Other additional problems in the TCM presentations : on Powerpoint
import bullets were misrepresented and turned out on screen as unfilled
rectangles of the type you get when OOo can't substitute the font
(because the initial one isn't present), but more importantly, some of
the animated GIFs didn't animate.
I entered all of these problems into the TCM test results. This was
testing with rc1 MacOSX PPC.
I shall retest the TCM stuff once the rc2 has been entered into the list
of testable versions (it wasn't available as one of the testing
platforms yesterday).
