Hi,
I announced [1] that the Automated Testing Team by Sun want to send the
test results of Release Candidates. Here is the unformal positive result.
What is tested :
Version : StarOffice Update 4 Release Candidate 2
Build OOD680 m4, Build Id: 9070
Platform : Linux, Solaris Sparc, Solaris Intel, Win32
Languages : English (US), German, French, Italian, Netherlands,
Russian, Polish, Spanish, Swedish, Hungary, Brazilian
Portuguese, Korean, Japanese, Chinese (simplify), Chinese
(traditional)
Test : qa/qatesttool/script/unix/ooo_releasetests.sh
Test result: All tests show no showstopper tasks
StarOffice and OpenOffice.org (Sun provided builds) are based on the
same code line and are build in the same environment. Generally a sanity
check of the OpenOffice.org install sets should guarantee the same
quality of both builds.
I hope in the near future OpenOffice.org will get a tooling for the
automated testing results. Andre, Thorsten Bosbach, Jogi and Laurent
discussed a solution at the OOoCon. Then these postings will be
redundant. But until then the Automated Testing Team will send these
results for each Release Candidate.
We know a next release candidate is needed for OOo2.0.4. The next
result will be posted soon after releasing the install sets.
Thorsten Bosbach will tag the TestTool scripts with '2.0.4' when
the complete release is done. Until now, this isn't done.
Regards,
Thorsten
