Hi,

Release Candidate 1 (build OOE680_m5) has been uploaded to ftp master.
The Linux build already has one known issue (that is caused by i71899
which will be fixed later in 2.2): the system integration doesn't work.
As a workaround you can fix it by correcting the symlink in /usr/bin
which points to a wrong location. The problem of the wrong path will be
fixed in the next build.
Can you please explain what is meant by "next build" ? What is the
impact of 71899, for me it sounds like a stopper if the system
integration does not work out of the box.
Would be a stopper to me too. But this works without any problem at my
installation (2.1.0rc1 german localized build by Sun). In fact there is
no symlink in /usr/bin at all .. openoffice.org2.1 is a shell script.
Please give the version a try and communicate show stoppers here or
within the releases mailing list.
If we don't want to get into an endless sequence of rc builds again, it
is important that we use and test rc1 the next days.
absolutely .. RC1 should be tested as good as possible, so that we
reduce the risc to leave stopper bugs for RC2.
